OUR MISSIONS

Trans Europe Experts purports to promote the active participation of French experts, along with their colleagues and European counterparts, in the discussions taking place in Europe, through a federal structure which permits co-ordinated, reactive and dynamic action. Furthermore, Trans Europe Experts aims to keep informed and engaged in European legal discussions, by rendering both national (particularly of ministers engaged in discussion of European legal texts) and European decisions (of the Commission and Parliament) more visible.

Comprising of a plethora of identified, visible experts, Trans Europe Experts equally constitutes an influential network, providing these experts with the means to play a weighty role in the legal directions taken in Europe.

Trans Europe Experts defines its task through the following three missions:

         1. Expertise, through a plethora of experts

The diverse group of experts involved range from academics and professionals to representatives of the political, economic, social and non-profit sectors. This allows them to provide a comprehensive response to calls for expertise and offers on both a European and national level.

         2. The sensitising of legal, social, economic and political sectors to European issues.

TEE’s group of experts and its constituent members can be approached for further information to gain awareness on the development of European legal issues. Their actions are directed for the purposes of all those interested; from political personnel involved in European talks, government persons in charge of European issues (particularly ministers) to representatives of  economic and professional groups or associations, of all levels.

This enterprise will meet annually, in a regular and formal manner, through the organisation and occurrence of a Forum of European legal issues. Contemporary legal issues are presented through a plenary session and workshops, organised around areas of competencies.

        3. The organisation of an influential network

Finally, TEE proposes to co-ordinate French and European actors already active in Europe, in order to create an influential network better able to increase the presence of lawyers of all backgrounds on the European scene. In this way, TEE will enable them to work together, in commissions comprised of academics, professionals and representatives of diverse associations and institutions.
